Thames Velo 2010 Spring Road Race - NOW FULL FIELDS
Thames Velo is pleased to announce that the 2010 Spring Road Race will take place on the 25th of April, around our circuit at Great Milton, Oxfordshire. British Cycling calendar - details here. The races will be:
(Regional B) Band 4 - 3/4/W/J
68k (43 miles), 2.75 laps, 9:30am, £15.00 (£17.00 EOL) Start List
(National B) Band 2 - E/1/2/3
121Km (75 miles), 5 laps, 1.30pm, £17.00 (£19.00 EOL) Start List
Course details
Start for E/1/2/3 only: Start just off the westbound A40 on the forecourt of the Triumph motorbike showrooms Hughenden M40.
At the T-junction, turn left onto the A329 (M) and proceed straight through Little Milton. After 4.6 miles, turn left on the common in Stadhampton onto the B480 (M).
At 8.6 miles, fork left towards Stoke Talmage and over the climb of Clare Hill. Carry straight on until, at 12.4 miles turn left to join A40 (M).
Proceed along the A40 to the finish at 15 miles at Milton Common to complete 1 lap. At the T-Junction beyond the start/finish, turn left (M) to join A329 again.
Start for 3/4/J only: The 3/4/J event will start, as in previous years, from Rectory Road - opposite the HQ. The remainder of the circuit, including the location of the finish, is identical to that described above for the E/1/2/3 race.
Parking: Please use the parking facilities in Rectory Road, NOT the HQ. Space at the HQ is required for official vehicles and medical backup. The narrow lane should be kept clear at all times.
